Academic Media Services manages and supports the instructional
technology in general university classrooms and videoconference rooms on the
Pullman
campus. It also plays a
significant support role for many of the videoconference rooms at WSU learning
centers and partner sites around
Washington
State
.
Pullman’s general university classroom instructional
technology is, for the most part, standardized, with much of the same or
similar equipment found in each room.
Some variations do occur, however.
Instructors are encouraged to consult the
Classroom Location, Layout, and Equipment page on
this website for specific information about individual rooms.
AMS maintains classroom equipment and is glad to be alerted to equipment
problem.
Many
Pullman
general university classrooms are connected to a media distribution system.
Media is played at the centralized media control room and the signal is
sent to the media equipment at a connected classroom.
The user controls are in the classroom itself.
If a classroom is connected to the media distribution system,
instructors can drop off and schedule media playback at the AMS office, 150
Holland
Library.
AMS staff members also support instructors/presenters using
the instructional technology in its general university and videoconference
classrooms. Support includes group
training sessions, one-on-one training/help sessions and online resources.
Users experiencing difficulties in
Pullman
general university classrooms should contact the AMS office at 335-335-7579
Videoconference
users should contact the site coordinator at their location.
Contact phone numbers are
available in this website.
